How I Made An Extra $1,191.12 In June ‘23
Believe it or not, we are now halfway through 2023. Should I ask how those New Year’s resolutions are going? They may well and truly be forgotten considering the way this year has batted us around.
This last month was full on as I tried to cram in as many side hustles as possible before taking a much needed holiday to Queensland, ‘the Sunshine State’, which most certainly lived up to it’s nickname. We had an absolute ball visiting my grandparents and soaking up the sunshine, and I even managed to squeeze in a survey here and there.
In June, I was able to earn an extra $1,191.12 by using the following sites and apps.

Surveys $298.01
I didn’t have high hopes for surveys this month considering I went on a holiday, but I did do as many as I could before leaving and even squeezed some in while I was away.
On average, I spent about an hour and a half each day doing surveys this month, which I squeezed in whenever I could.
The best survey sites for me this month were:
PureProfile was my best survey site this month. Everyday they had surveys available and they were quick and easy to do.

AttaPoll was good to me this month. There were some gems that paid $1-$2 per minute. I make sure I only complete the surveys that pay at least 17c a minute (roughly $10 an hour).

Octopus Group had a heap of surveys this month, I actually struggled to fit them all in. I was able to redeem my earnings for a $100 gift card which I put towards my groceries.

PurplePatch was good to me this month. I get quite a few market research opportunities through PurplePatch which are always well worth the time, and they often have some great paying surveys as well.

I spent way too much time this month playing games through the Swagbucks app. I made over $35 from this alone which was a lot of fun and slightly addictive.

Cashback $121.90
The cashback apps I used in June were ShopBack and CashRewards.
I got a nice cashback boost this month for switching my electricity provider, which also is going to save me money on my electricity bill.

Savings Trackers $261.38
It was a big month for me selling savings trackers through my Etsy store and on my website. I was kept busy with custom orders and new designs, but it’s a lot of fun so it doesn’t even feel like work.
Market Research $390.00
I did a few different market research studies this month. These included product testing, reviews and online diaries.
The market research invitations I received came from participating in surveys through AttaPoll and PurplePatch.
ReceiptJar $5.00
ReceiptJar is an app that allows you to scan your receipts for points that can then be redeemed for gift cards. I consistently scan all of my physical and digital receipts using the app and I’m now at a level where I get a nice amount of bonus points. It’s easy and quick to use so it’s certainly not a bad way to make a bit of extra money.
You can sign up to ReceiptJar here. Make sure to use the referral code MADISOC7 to receive 200 points when you scan your first receipt.
Blogging $114.83
I’m pretty happy with the amount I made through my blog this month. This comes from the ads on my blog so the more traffic I get, the more money I make. It can be a lot of work at times, but I think it’s well worth it.
It’s been a rollercoaster of a year but I’m beyond grateful that I have my side hustles to keep my head above water. Now that we’re into the second half of the year I want to keep up the momentum and keep aiming to make $1,000+ from my side hustles.
