How I Made An Extra $1026.75 In February ‘23
Another month has been and gone. I had high hopes for February, as my oldest child started kindergarten I was feeling pretty confident that I would have a lot of extra time to spend on side hustles and maybe even have some time to rest. Unfortunately, the reality of having little kids is that a bucket load of germs were brought home and we spent the whole month dealing with colds, croup and the stomach flu. Once again we found ourselves in survival mode and not a whole lot else got done.
Fortunately, I still made a decent amount of money from my side hustles despite the sleepless nights and visits to the emergency room.
In February, I was able to earn an extra $1,026.75 by using the following sites and apps.

Surveys $337.53
I had a great run with surveys this month, there was plenty available and I was able to pick and choose what I felt like doing.
On average, I spent about 1.5 hours each day doing surveys this month, which I was able to do while watching TV at night.

AttaPoll is a consistent earner for me. There's always surveys available, but only a handful actually pay a decent amount. I only complete surveys that pay at least 17c a minute (roughly $10 an hour).

Octopus Group had a few great surveys in February. They are by far the best paying survey site I use and I was able to redeem my earnings straight to my bank account.

PurplePatch had great opportunities for me this month. They had great paying surveys and they screened me for a fun product trial where I received free products and was paid for my time.

Swagbucks offers a variety of different ways to make extra money, but I mostly keep my eye on the surveys. They don’t usually pay a lot, but every now and then they have gems that pay really well.

Cashback $42.37
The cashback apps I used in February were ShopBack and CashRewards.
I always keep an eye out for boosted cashback offers so I can make the most of my shopping.

Savings Trackers $216.85
I had another great month selling savings trackers through my Etsy store and on my website. I sold quite a few custom orders, as well as premade designs. This is one of my favourite side hustles because I get to help people reach their savings goals and I have a lot of fun creating the designs.
Market Research $415.00
Over the last month I have received $415.00 for participating in different market research studies. The biggest study I participated in involved me receiving beauty products to trial. I tried the products then answered questions in an online diary. I received $200 for my time and was allowed to keep $100 worth of products.
The market research invitations I received came from participating in surveys through AttaPoll and PurplePatch.
ReceiptJar $5.00
ReceiptJar is an app that allows you to scan your receipts for points that can then be redeemed for gift cards. I consistently scan all of my physical and digital receipts using the app and I’m now at a level where I get a nice amount of bonus points. It’s easy and quick to use so it’s certainly not a bad way to make a bit of extra money.

Nielsen Beauty Panel $10.00
This month I received a $10 gift card from the Nielsen Beauty Panel for being a member for 2 years.
The NielsenIQ Beauty Panel is an app where I scan my beauty and personal care purchases. Each week they offer 15 points if you scan a purchase or 10 if you don't, so either way you get paid. They automatically send out a $10 gift card when you reach 100 points. Sign up here to receive a $30 welcome gift card.
Although February was crazy and chaotic, I'm grateful that I was still able to earn extra money from home. I have a busy month ahead but I'm aiming to earn over $1,000 again.
