How I Made An Extra $1169.45 In May ‘22

For years I have been searching for ways to make extra money from home and it has taken a really long time to find legitimate ways to make a decent income.
I've dealt with dodgy apps, scammers and spent a ridiculous amount of time on sites that pay next to nothing.

I always get asked questions about the sites and apps I use to make money from home, so I decided I would write out and explain the different ways I've earned money each month.

In May 2022 I made a whopping $1,169.45 from home, which is the most I have made in a single month.
Here are the apps and sites I used this month.

Surveys $582.79

My biggest side hustle right now is surveys. When I first get up in the morning, I do an hour of surveys while my kids are still waking up. I also try to squeeze in a few surveys at night while I'm watching reruns of The Office. Surveys are great because literally anyone with an internet connection can do them and they are super flexible.

I often get asked how I make so much from surveys and the answer is I don't bother with surveys that pay less than $10 an hour. I also use multiple survey sites so I never run out of survey opportunities.

My favourite survey sites this month have been:

AttaPoll

I've been using AttaPoll for about 2 months now and I've really enjoyed using this app. They have a lot of surveys available, however they don't always pay well. I don't bother with the low paying surveys, but I always keep an eye out for ones that are worth the time.

You can sign up to AttaPoll here.

Octopus Group

Octopus Group is one of the best paying survey sites that I've found, but unfortunately they don't have a lot of surveys available. I can go days without getting a survey opportunity from Octopus Group, but they're well worth the time when they do pop up.

PureProfile

PureProfile have decent paying surveys and they usually have plenty available. A lot of people were put off of PureProfile because they had a redemption limit of $60 every 70 days. Fortunately, they've recently scrapped that and now there's no limit on how much you can redeem.

Check out PureProfile here.

Swagbucks

I've been using Swagbucks for years and I love that there's plenty of different ways to earn money. They have plenty of surveys, but like AttaPoll, they don't always pay well. Occasionally, there are gems that pop up and those are the ones I pay attention to.

Swagbucks also allows you to earn by answering polls, playing games, downloading apps, watching videos and they also have a cashback feature when shopping. There's definitely no shortage of ways to earn through Swagbucks.

Cashback apps $473.24

The cashback apps I use are ShopBack and CashRewards. I love cashback apps because I can get money back on purchases I was going to make anyway.
My husband's birthday was in May and there were boosted cashback offers due to the Click Frenzy sales, so this was the perfect opportunity to take advantage and buy his presents.

I also took advantage of an offer to compare and switch energy companies which offered $171 cashback and got me a better deal for gas and electricity. Win win.

Etsy $73.42

For those who don’t know, I sell printable savings trackers and charts in my Etsy store.
This is month I earned $73.42 from Etsy sales. It's a bit less than I usually earn but I'm working on some fun new charts that will hopefully boost sales.

Refresh Me Drink Study $35

This one is actually my husband's doing because the Refresh Me Drink Study still haven't accepted me (maybe one day), but they were looking for more men so he got through.
Each month for one week he has to record what he drinks each day using the Refresh Me app and at the end of the week he receives a $35 gift card.

NielsenIQ Beauty Panel $5

The NielsenIQ Beauty Panel is an app where I scan my beauty and personal care purchases.
Each week they offer 15 points if you scan a purchase or 10 if you don't, so either way you get paid. They automatically send out a $10 gift card when you reach 100 points.

Next month I'm planning on keeping up the effort so I can pay for my upcoming surgery, aswell as keep up with the cost of living.
Now that I've done it once, my goal is to make over $1,000 next month as well. Stay tuned for my progress!
